There are up to two weekly ferry routes to and from Fournoi, departing mainly from Piraeus, with a journey time of approximately 8 hours and 30 minutes. Fournoi is also connected to the port of Kavala. From the island, you can plan short trips to nearby destinations such as Ikaria, Samos, Chios, Mykonos, Mytilene, and Lemnos.

Kampos

The main town of Fournoi is built amphitheatrically around the harbor, revealing a charming scene of low white houses and cobblestone streets. In the central square of Agios Nikolaos, a giant plane tree stands proudly, making it the perfect spot to stop for a coffee and homemade sweets.

Chrysomilia

One of the most enchanting fishing villages in the Aegean, built amphitheatrically with a romantic atmosphere, inviting leisurely strolls. Don’t miss the climb up to the hill of Agia Triada, where Hellenistic architectural elements are preserved and the area has been declared an archaeological site.

Transportation on Fournoi is mainly by rental car or scooter. You can explore the town on foot, while access to some beaches on Fournoi and nearby islands is possible by small boat.

Kampi

Located in Kampi bay, thiw beach combines fine sand and pebbles with tamarisks and calm, emerald waters. The beach is well organized with umbrellas, sunbeds, tavernas, and shops, offering comfort and relaxation.

Chrysomilia

On the northern side of the island, Chrysomilia features fine sand and shallow waters, set within one of the most picturesque fishing villages of the Aegean. Ideal for families, the beach also offers culinary delights at local seafood tavernas.

Petrokopeio

A large, pebbled coast overlooking the island’s ancient quarries. The vertical white cliffs form small coves with emerald waters, creating a unique natural landscape for exploration and photography.

Psili Ammos

Kasidi

Kamari

Kamari beach is ideal for snorkeling, as the seabed hides the ruins of ancient dwellings—a unique experience for those who love both the sea and history.

The Ancient Acropolis

Built on the hill of Agios Georgios, at an altitude of 180 meters, the ancient acropolis of the Korsii is scattered with impressive ancient inscriptions. The site offers panoramic views of Kampos, Thymaina, and Alatsonisi, creating a unique setting that combines history and natural beauty.

Marble Quarry

Above Petrokopeio bay, the imposing marble quarry dates back to the Roman period. The archaeological site preserves scattered unfinished architectural elements. According to tradition, many monuments in nearby Ancient Ephesus were constructed using marble from this quarry.

Thymaina, the second inhabited island of the cluster, is an ideal destination for a day trip. The journey takes you to a place with two picturesque villages and stunning beaches, such as the famous Kerameidos Beach, where you can swim in clear, turquoise waters.
